Ticket to Ride
In support of YESS transit access
If you like to have a night out while doing some good, Ticket to Ride is a great option this month.
It’s the annual social mixer and fundraiser from the City of Edmonton Youth Council to help provide as many transportation tickets as possible to the youth of YESS (Youth Empowerment and Support Services). All money raised through tickets goes directly to buying transit tickets for people using YESS services.
This is a small but big thing. When teens using YESS programming need to get to work, appointments, social supports, to see family or for any of the many other trips we all need to take it’s important for them to have a chance to get there. Transit tickets can play a big role in helping them get support and other services they need, and to just live life.
Going to the event also gets you an evening of food, music and a silent auction at the Latitude 53 studio. (And that all sounds like fun, right?)
